Once it has been enabled, the Selection Mode option will change on the “Add campaign” page. It will be viewed as follows:
Targeting will be carried out through the use of expressions that should include the spaces where you would like to run the campaign.
You must define the Site/Zone/Space structure to create the expression, i.e. the path that indicates where the ad runs.
/ --> Indicates the levels.
The expression must contain the 3 levels: Site/Zone/Space (E.g.: NewsX/*/*).
There is also the possibility of indicating ALL the account’s data in one expression: */*/*
The following examples will not be valid:
IMPORTANT NOTE: The spaces to be considered in the advanced targeting will only be the VARIABLE ones |
In the case of the Site “NewsX”, if you would like to run the campaign on all the spaces of every level of the site, you must implement it in the following manner:
NewsX/*/*

With the Advanced Selection Mode on, the campaign will look as follows:
Once the campaign has been created under that selection mode, you cannot change it to another mode when editing it through “Global Preferences” (for example, selection from a list mode).

Ads Association
With the Advanced Selection mode, when you add ads, they will be obligatorily linked to all the spaces included in the expressions which have been specified in the campaign. Moreover, every time a new space is detected in the account, the ad will be automatically linked (provided it appears among the specified expressions). It is very important to bear this in mind when creating a campaign, since several campaigns may apply to different ad sizes to be run:
