Banner to Layer

    Banner to Layer

    Mar 07, 2018

    Description:

The Banner to Layer format is a fixed ad with optional size, from which a layer is unfolded. This layer is placed in the middle of the screen.

    9.

    Example:

    Implementation:

This format must be associated to the “variable” type space where you wish to place the creative.

Please note that it is not necessary to create a special space for this format. You can reuse a variable space where traditional ads are generally run and, alternatively, other Rich Media formats are displayed.

The recommended type of code is the following: “Ajax V4 Multiple or by Space”. However, you can also implement it in JavaScript V3.

    Metrics:

    • Impression: It is counted when the banner is displayed, on its first frame.
    • Continuation Time: It starts to be counted when the layer is displayed.
    • Close Ad: It counts each time a user closes the layer.
    • Complete Ad: It is registered in the last frame of the layer’s animation.

    Ad Attributes:
    • Final layer position on screen: Centered / Top left / Enter coordinates / Top centered / Top right / Bottom left / Bottom right / Bottom centered.
    • From the interface, you can select where to place the layer.
    • Z-index: It allows you to place the creative behind the layer. If any element of the site is placed on top of the creative, you must increase the Z-index in order to bring the creative to the top. Important: The element with the greatest Z-index will always remain on top.
    • DIV tag identifier for Layer: This applies if you would like to assign the layer’s position by means of a DIV.
    • Initiate with the expanded ad: Never / Always / Once by hour / Once by day. From the platform, you can select whether or not you would like to initiate with the layer.
    • External tracking pixel: In this field, you can add external tracking pixels if the advertiser/agency/network delivers them. You can add a maximum of 3 tracking pixels.
    • View time: You can configure the number of seconds the layer should remain active.
    • Flash background color: Use that of the movie / Transparent / RGB Code: You can choose the Flash background color from the interface.
    • Additional ad variables to be sent to the ad: In this field, you can add Flashvars.
    • Ad delay: This option should only be used for specific cases where the creative is not correctly visualized in Internet Explorer.
    • Personalized ID: This is used to easily find the creative on the site.
    • Ad alignment: Left / Right / Centered / None. With this option, you can place the creative in the space.
    • Custom Actions: Custom metrics may be added to measure specific events. More information here.

    WIDESCREEN Effect

In order to achieve the “widescreen” effect, please consider the following attributes:
    • Initiate with the expanded ad: Always
    • DIV tag identifier for Layer: In case you have used the previous WideScreen format (it was uploaded as “Banner - Expandable Flash with Residual”), you can leave the same formerly implemented DIV. However, please note that it should always coincide with what has been indicated in the interface.

In the case this is implemented for the first time, you can take the indicated DIV as reference (epl_ws_div) or you can change it for another. What you should have in mind is that there must be a coincidence between what has been declared on the form and what has been implemented on the HTML.
