Pass-back campaigns implementation

This document lays out the most recommendable configuration in order to implement pass-back campaigns.

The publisher sells his inventory to networks or third parties; this situation may cause some blank impressions when such networks or third parties don't have sold campaigns.
The pass-back practice optimizes this process by creating the alternative for a network or third party to redirect the impression to the publisher so that the latter may assign it to another active campaign within the system.
Therefore, the pass-back implementation main goal is to return a self-promoted ad or other e-planning remaining ads, when the third party lacks any ad to serve or when any ad matches the minimum CPM agreed with a third party.

Pass-back configuration:

1) Create a site/section and particular space to use when pass-backs are served.
2) Orient all back-up or remnant campaigns to this site/section/space created for the pass-back configuration.
3) Ensure none of these ads contain third party tags from which you'll receive the 'tag-pass-back'.  We consequently avoid an infinite loop of calls to the server.
4) Remove the tag from the 'pass-back' space (created in point 1), which should contain the remnant campaigns and send it to the third party.
5) The third party should implement this tag in a campaign with the lowest possible priority within its platform.

Note: The recommended tag to send is Javascript.  In order to get it, enter the space created for pass-back and then select HTML Code/ Code type: Javascript.

How to avoid infinite loop in my pass-back campaigns

In order to avoid a loop entrance, the above steps should be followed correctly.
Ensure the calls made to a pass-back ad (implemented in e-planning) are unique and do not call the same third party for an ad.
One of the consequences may be that your web page is not properly executed.

How does a pass-back flow work?

We introduce hereunder a pass-back working scheme within e-planning:

In cases when more than a Network is used to work, the same procedure will be followed under the idea of linking one another until reaching the last level wished. It generally matches a back-up campaign.
The following order is to be considered:

1st. - NET1
2nd. - NET2
3rd. - NET3
4th – Back-up
