Revenue Share (%)

Revenue Share (%)

The Revenue Share concept is used by Networks which run campaigns in Third Party Sites. It is a commercial agreement that defines what percentage of profit is given to the target site where the campaign ran. The other percentage is assigned to the Network that provides the service.

In e-planning, Network type platforms have an option that precisely allows the automatic calculation of the Amount payable to the target sites, according to the Revenue Share assigned to each one.

From the Global preferences of the account, you can find the following configuration:

Use Revenue Share to calculate publisher payouts

If selecting YES, you will be required to define the Revenue Share percentage when adding new external Sites/Publishers:

Campaigns

When creating campaigns, it is only required to specify the “Price paid by Advertiser” (or Agency). This value will be taken as a parameter to calculate the Revenue Share percentage assigned to the external Site or Sites associated to the campaign.

In case the Revenue Share (in the Global Preferences) is not active, you will be requested to include the Amount payable to the Sites for each campaign. In this case, whether you include it or not is optional:

Important Note:

If you opt to work with individual prices (i.e. per space), we strongly recommend you to always complete this field. This can be configured from the Global Preferences settings. Please complete this field in order to prevent having prices with no data which will later generate inconsistencies at the moment of obtaining reports.
