Uploading VAST Ads
This document explains how to add a VAST ad to a campaign. Please note that VAST ads are considered rich media ads, although they are not programmed by means of technical support.
To upload a VAST ad, create the campaign first, and then, include the ad.
1- Select the option “Add ad”.
2- On the “Add ads” form page, open the “Type” of format drop-down menu, and select the one that corresponds to the ad you would like to upload.
In the case of VAST ads, you will find the corresponding format types on the rich media list.
They will be divided in two groups:
*Linear ads
*Non-linear ads
3- Once you have selected the type of format, the “Choose file” option is enabled (in order to attach the corresponding file). For example: When selecting “Video Player - linear MP4”, an .mp4 extension file should be attached.
IMPORTANT NOTE: It is not recommended to upload videos weighing more than 2MB. If they are larger, this could cause some problems in the visualization or performance of the site. |
Once the type of format and the spaces where the ad will run have been selected, you can set up different targeting options for the ad.
Weekly Timetable:
Enable this time targeting option if you would like to show the ad in specific time slots. IMPORTANT: Please note that this targeting will only be applied to the ad that is being uploaded, not to the whole campaign.
Country Targeting:
Enable this targeting option if you would like to target the ad to a specific selected country.
Click-through URL:
URL where the banner/ad is going to redirect the user.
Ad’s Priority and Weight in the Campaign:
Please make the selection according to the campaign. If its priority is 1 and its weight is 100, it will be shown more times.
If necessary, you can edit certain Ad’s Attributes in the VAST format types.
Skip offset (VAST 3.0 only):
Please set the percentage or seconds in which the ad will use the Skip offset option. This option is only available for the VAST 3.0 version.
External tracking pixel:
Enter the URL to track impressions in those cases where the ad requires so.
