BackUp Campaigns


The following document details the steps and conditions of a BackUp or Default Campaign.
 
This type of campaign is highly recommended to avoid the creation of Blank or Default Impressions in which there is nothing available to be shown to the user. A main feature of this type of campaign is that it is always ready to be served, when the previous ones (higher in priority) cannot do it.  

It is important to take into account these campaigns at the initial phase of implementation. This campaign will rotate in all spaces of the site or sites It is made once to rotate in all spaces of the site or sites where such implementation is made.


 
Advertiser

Start by creating an Advertiser. This should be named after the site or Internal or Autopromo, etc.

 
Campaign

The campaign will have the following conditions:

Select the 'Internal' Advertiser

Indicate a descriptive Name inherent to the campaign: 'Default' / 'Backup', etc.

Type of Campaign: Select 'Sponsor' This will allow the campaign to run unlimitedly, without any kind of limitation in the actions delivery. 

- Assign the lowest Priority: 9/10 - If there are campaigns already running with a 9 priority level, you should select 10. This insures the Backup campaign with be the last resource used to serve an ad.

- Selection of Sites/Spaces: It is recommended to activate the campaign in all sites/spaces. Another option, depending on what is going to be displayed, is to run a campaign per 'Site'.

- Activation intervals: Select WITHOUT a Completion Date. In the case of being a 'Sponsor' campaign without a completion date, it will be a completely free and unlimited campaign to run. This is just what we look for, 100% availability towards the limitations of the other 'sold' campaigns. This also avoids the reactivation or addition of actions as long as the campaign runs. It eases the single management of this type of campaign.

Once the above is completed, the campaign would be ready to be added.

 

DO NOT add more conditions or additional segmentations.



Ads

Once the campaign is created, all ads follow.

All the ads should be these formats --> JPEG/GIF/PNG

This is very important, as when Flash is running, there is a risk of not showing the ad to the users who lack the adequate Plugin.
