Sync with Ad Manager

Synchronization with Ad Manager allows to verify Ad Manager line items for each impression in real time and activate spaces bidding only in such cases where it does not interfere with the campaign delivery. This way, E-Planning Header Bidder optimizes all auctions without affecting directly sold campaigns.

How it Works

Upon activating the synchronization with Ad Manager, the following criteria will be revised for each impression:

  • Ad slot
  • Size
  • Geolocation
  • Type of device

 These combinations will be analyzed to see if there is any associated case of:

  • A Sponsorship line item
  • An Expected to underdeliver line item


In case
any of these types of line items are found, E-Planning Header Bidder will not auction off the ad slot in that impression, and will lead the inventory to Ad Manager. This way, E-Planning Header Bidder programmatic sale does not interfere with the line items delivery goal, regardless of whether this goal corresponds to an amount of actions or period of time.

Activation

In order to activate synchronization, click on the Ad Manager Sync tab (1) and then click on Associate account (2). If the Retrieve data for efficiency reports (3) checkbox is checked, then E-Planning will be able to extract stats data out of the Ad Manager account and generate inventory monetization reports to optimize revenue.


After this, enter your ID to access the Ad Manager account to associate.
Fill in the access data (1) and click on Next (2).


Once you access the account, you will find a pop-up screen with the permissions E-Planning requires to apply the sync.
Click on Allow to complete the association. 

How to Stop the Sync

If you wish to stop the active sync, click on the Ad Manager Sync tab (1) and then on Revoke permissions (2).
