Implementation of ads.txt
As of September 2017, IAB specified a new standard mechanism as a way to eliminate the ability to profit from counterfit inventory in the open digital ecosystem, and fight against fraud ads. Ads.txt offers a mechanism to allow content owners to state who is authorized to sell their inventory. The initiative consists of a text file named ads.txt located in the root directory of each site that contains an explicit list of the authorized sellers. This way, any potential buyer can verify if the seller is authorized to sell the inventory.

Implementation of ads.txt
In order to implement the downloaded file, place it without any changes in the website root you are authorizing. For example, if your site is example.com, the ads.txt file should be accessed through https://example.com/ads.txt.
In case you already have an ads.txt file of other sources, just copy&paste the content of the recently downloaded ads.txt file into it.
Verification of the ads.txt Status in Sites
You can verify the status of the ads.txt file in the monetized sites by clicking on the Dashboard (1) tab in the section Revenue per site from last 30 days (2), where you will find a marker at the right side of each site (3), indicating the sites with outdated ads.txt files in red, and the sites with updated ads.txt files in green.
The platform verifies the status of your ads.txt files once a day. To know the last time your site was verified, click on the marker right next to your site. A new window with more data will pop up.
