Targeting by URL

Targeting by URL

Targeting options are not mandatory. By default, they will be disabled.

'Targeting by web page domain' is under 'Targeting' in the Campaign form:

This type of targeting enables to indicate a list of allowed or not allowed URLs in the campaign. This means that the segmentation can either be positive or negative.

Targeting by URL works at a URL or subdomain level.  Therefore specific URLs can be included, such as http://www.e-planning.net/gallery:

Once the targeting criteria is activated, the campaign will be shown under every listed URL.

The match can either be PARTIAL OR EXACT. The default is Exact. This means that if a URL has to be taken as partial, a prefix must be added to the URL: '~'

E.g: If we select 'Show in this URL': ~www.e-planning.net/gallery

The following URLs will also match with the indicated targeting criteria:

http://www.e-planning.net/gallery/#/inline

http://www.e-planning.net/gallery/#/double-expandable-layer

http://www.e-planning.net/gallery/#/layer-to-button

This option is useful for networks and sites that run generic tags, without specifying zones/subzones, and want to locate in a more precise way

the pages where the campaign must and must not be shown.
