A Creative Template is a predefined creative type that the user can use when adding a new Ad in the platform.

It entails a Javascript/HTML/XML programming to develop a Template in the Ad server. It will be then used by Traffickers to upload the Campaign`s Creatives based on the Template.

Among other options this Template can have predefined 'Macros' for counting purposes & indications where the attached material will go (+ quantity). 

 

How a New Template is created in e-planning?

1) Click on 'Manage' > 'Templates' > 'Add'


 

2) Enter a descriptive Name for the Template. It will appear in the Template List for the Traffickers to choose which one to use.You may also add a Description to specify the template features.


3) Select the Data Type:

 

4) Type/Paste the Javascript*/HTML/XML** code for your Template. Use the available Macros at the bottom to complete all the required functionalities:

 

* Javascript Template > For this type of code different loading options are offered:

 

** XML Template > These type of templates will be used for display on mobile phone applications, or to connect with other applications. These ads will not be displayed directly to the user, but will be consumed by applications or systems, and then formatted to show the ad in the end to the user.  

The correct labels for a XML templates are: <xml> - </xml>

 


5) Click 'OK' when you are done.

The Template can be:

  • Edited
  • Deleted
  • Archived
  • Exported (exported in a XML File)

 

How to use a Template for Ads Uploads?

Inside the Campaign:

1) Click on 'Add Template ad'

2) Choose the needed Template from the list.

3) Type the Name of the Ad

4) Upload the requested files

 

Important! >  The total weight of the files uploaded through the template must not be over the maximum weight allowed for standard banners (approx 80kb).

 

From this step on, all remaining options are the same as for any type of ad upload  (Spaces selection, Weekly Targeting, Country Targeting,etc.

If you need to have the variables replaced within the platform, you can activate a Global Preference:


This means that the parameters will be replaced for the particular value in any ad according to previous user configurations.
