How to load an ad to a campaign
This document explains how to add an ad to a campaign. The ad load form is divided into two sections: the main body and the ad’s attributes edition. To load an ad to the platform, go to “Add ad” from the campaign form:
In the form, the following information should be set:
- Format: Select the ad format to be loaded to the campaign.
- Name: The ad name is good to identify it internally in the system. It is mandatory.
- Title: The name in the ad title will be displayed to the client when the user hovers over the image.
- File name: from here, the ad’s file is uploaded. If wanted, from “movie URL (SWF file)”, the ad can be uploaded through a URL. In that case, type in the complete address starting with http:// from which the ad will be taken. Remember to keep this address updated: if the image location changes, in order for the system to display the image correctly, the information should be modified.
- Associated spaces: indicate to which campaign spaces the ad should be associated.
- Click-through URL: this is the URL where the user will be redirected to, when the ad is clicked on.
- Ad priority in the campaign: this option allows you to sort the ads in the campaign. Out of all the selected ads, the one with the highest priority will be displayed: 1 being the highest and 10, the lowest.
- Ad’s weight in the campaign: among the ads with even priority, the system will check and select one out of the ones with highest values.
The system allows you to segment the ad by:
Weekly schedule: you can enable or disable the time in which the ad should be displayed.
Country segmentation: you can enable this positive/negative option to activate country segmentation.
Screen resolution segmentation: Optional field. With this option, you can set a maximum width and height.
User’s frequency: Optional field. You can set the maximum number of impressions that the ad should have per session and the time range between sessions.
Keywords segmentation: You can segment the campaign using keywords. The system will display the complete list of created keywords.
From “Edit ad’s attributes”, the platform allows you to edit certain characteristics of the ad. The options available may vary according to the format of the selected ad:
- Display effects: expandable (rollover or pushdown) or button Layer.
- External tracking URL: field for the impressions tracking URL of the adserver that will track the metrics.
- Additional tracking URL: in case there are several impressions tracking URL’s from different adservers.
- Flash background color: to select the ad background color.
-Transparent, used from the movie/video: it takes the color that was used when the ad was designed.
-RGB code: it combines red, green and blue to get the complete color spectrum. This is expressed in a hexadecimal value.
Additional variables to add to Flash: this may indicate any variable that is added to the Flash object through Flashvars. It only works with Flash 6 or above. Indicate the variables as variable1=value1&variable2=value2&variableN=valueN
- Borders’ width: you can indicate the ad border’s width in pixels as well as its color.
- Ad alignment: you can select the ad’s alignment inside the space. You can center it, or align to the right or to the left.
Click Accept to complete the load process.
