VMAP tags (generic and by specific players)
What is VMAP? VMAP (or Digital Video Multiple Ad Playlist) is an XML template that video content owners can use to describe the structure for ad inventory insertion when they don’t control the video player or the content distribution outlet. This is why is key to use it for Exchange. |
ZONE HTML Code
If the section has at least a video VAST space, a list of VMAP Video Player type tags will be displayed in 'HTML Code'
A generic and 3 additional ones corresponding to specific players will be listed:
JW Player
Brightcove
Kaltura
When selecting any of the Video Player VMAP tags, the code to implement will be shown:
It will be adapted as long as settings are edited:
- Spaces (those spaces created as 'Video' types will be adapted by default, but they may be removed from the list if not applicable in any case).
- VAST version (1/2 or 3) --> IMPORTANT! Exchange auctions are supported only for VAST versions 2 or 3.
Additionally, in case of selecting the tag of a specific player, it will be displayed with parameters inherent to such player so as to ease its implementation:
This alternative provides lots of benefits to commercialize video in Exchange.
SPACES HTML Code
From this option, VAST tags may be also obtained for video type spaces.
A generic tag will be listed as well as those corresponding to each specific player (JW Player - Brightcove - Kaltura).
The VAST version (1, 2 or 3) may be selected as well as the maximum number of ads to display. --> IMPORTANT! Exchange auctions are supported only for VAST versions 2 or 3 and if just 1 ad is requested (ma=1 or without ma).
