Double Expandable Layer
Description:
The format consists in a book ear shaped layer to be placed in the site upper right or left margin, it expands through mouseover or click and collapses upon the animation completion or through the user's action. The expansion direction is set from the platform.
Implementation:
This format should be implemented on an 'invisible' type space.
It also works in variable type spaces. For more information see Layers implementation.
The recommended type code is Ajax V4.
Mandatory DIV
To place the main banner, the webmaster should implement a DIV in the site html:
<div id=”ear_div”></div>.
Likewise, the div should be declared under the same name appearing on the site in the ad attributes.
Otherwise, the piece will not be visualized correctly. For more information read the following document about DIVs implementation.
Metrics:
• Impression: To be counted when the small banner is visualized.
• Stay Time: It starts to count when the expanded later is shown.
• Complete Ad: To count upon the layer animation completion.
• Close Ad: It is counted by means of the layer 'close' button.
Ad attributes:
• Expansion direction: The expansion direction may be chosen from the interface.
• Z-index: It allows to add depth to the ad. If any element on the site remains over the piece, the z-index should be increased for the piece to remain upwards.
• DIV tag identifier: ear_div
• Start with expanded ad: Never / Always / Once per hour / Once per day: You may select the ad to start expanded or collapsed.
• External counting URL: In this field, external impression counting urls may be added, if sent by the advertiser/agency/network. Up to 3 urls may be added.
• View time: The number of seconds the layer is to remain active may be set; upon the expiration of such time, the layer will close automatically.
• Flash background color: Use the movie one/ Transparent / RGB Code: The color of the flash background may be chosen from the interface.
• Additional variables to be sent to the ad: Flashvars may be added in this field.
• Ad delay: This option should be used only in specific cases in which the piece is not correctly visualized in Internet Explorer.
• Custom Actions: Custom metrics may be added to measure specific events. More information here.
