Takeover (3)
Description:
This ad appears when entering the site or a section, occupying the whole screen.
Upon its animation completion or through the user's action, it disappears displacing the site from left to right leaving a residual banner in a site specific space.
Example:
Implementation:
This format should be implemented in the first 'variable' type space implemented in the site. As it is a preview, it is recommended to be the first space to call so that the ad uploads faster.
Mandatory DIV
To place the residual banner, the webmaster should implement a DIV in the site html:
<div id=”takeover_div”></div>
Likewise, the div should be declared under the same name appearing on the site in the ad attributes.
Otherwise, the piece will not be visualized correctly. For more information see DIVs implementation.
In case the residual piece is not to be included, you may upload a 1x1 gif instead, so the takeover will be only composed by the main layer.
The recommended code type is Ajax V4, it may also be implemented by using javascriptV3.
Metrics:
• Impression: To be counted when the layer is visualized for the first time. (or the residual banner , in case the piece starts collapsed).
• Stay Time: It starts counting when the layer is shown.
• Complete Ad: To count upon the layer animation completion.
• Close Ad: It counts if the layer is closed before its animation completion.
Custom actions: Those metrics you wish to be counted may be added. For more information go to Custom Actions.
